OJ Simpson going to jail
OJ SIMPSON looks likely to die in jail after being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping—13 years to the day after his sensational acquittal for murder.
The swaggering former American football star puffed out his cheeks and breathed heavily as the all-white jury returned its verdict of guilty on all charges.
Simpson, 61, kidnapped two sports memorabilia dealers and robbed them at gunpoint in a room at the Palace Station hotel and casino in Las Vegas last September.
Seconds after his fate was sealed, an automatic timer cut the lights, plunging the courtroom into momentary darkness.
Millions watched the drama unfold live on TV.
Security guards handcuffed the sport star-turned-actor’s hands behind his back and led him to the cells. He will be sentenced on December 5.
In 1995 Simpson was cleared of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. The verdict by a predominantly black Los Angeles jury in what was dubbed the “trial of the century” shocked the world.
The Las Vegas trial heard how Simpson and his gang went to the hotel to retrieve items he lost while hiding them from of Mr Goldman’s family, who won a £19 million civil wrongful death judgment against him in civil courts. Four of the gang did deals to testify for the prosecution.
His lawyer, Yale Galanter said Simpson would appeal. “The verdict was not a shock,” he said. “There was a lot of baggage.”

EAMONN HOLMES made a fool of himself interviewing Hollywood beauty Salma Hayek — by asking if she is a LESBIAN.
The presenter made the gaffe yesterday on ITV’s This Morning.
Flirting Eamonn told the curvy mum-of-one: “Hayek doesn’t sound very Mexican.”
But when the striking 42-year-old told him that is because she is half-Lebanese, he spluttered: “You’re a lesbian?!”
When he realised his blunder, sheepish Eamonn, 48, asked her to forgive him and admitted he had thought she had said she was “half lesbian”.

Hurley Flashes Underwear At Charity Event
British model/actress Elizabeth Hurley was left embarrassed at a New York charity event on Thursday - when she accidentally flashed her underwear at the audience.
Hurley, 43, was on hosting duties at Bloomingdale's department store when she launched the Bloomingdale's Goes Pink bash to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month.
But the star was left visibly flushed by her fashion mishap after a burst of static electricity between the carpet and her pink satin dress caused the garment to fly up - and reveal her flesh coloured undergarments.

The Conduit for Wii already has motion plus support and Wii Speak
MTV reports that the promising upcoming game for the Wii called The Conduit already has Wii MotionPlus support as well as Wii Speak support. High Voltage COO Eric Nofsinger noted that "We’re hooking it [MotionPlus] up. We want to support it. Probably for this version of the game there’s not going to be a whole ton of really extensive use of the Wii MotionPlus."

WipEout team working hard to resolve freezing issue (The sooner the better!)
Sony have said that that they have been following the reports by some members of the community regarding problems with WipEout HD freezing. "We'd like to reassure you all that the WipEout team is working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible." said a Sony rep. Sony did not confirm what the issue is, but it is believed to be cause by having 50 + people on your friends list.
Hopefully this will get sorted quickly because I am sick of not being able to play this game online!

Lego Batman is the biggest Lego game so far
According to VG Charts, Lego Batman has sold half a million copies in just one week to beat out Lego Indiana Jones and the Lego Star Wars games in terms of first week sales!
Can't wait for this to come out in the uk I LOVE the lego games.
Iwata explains Wii's storage solution
Exactly what Nintendo's Satoru Iwata said at the recent Nintendo press conference regarding the Wii storage solution has been translated and transcribed. Among other details, he noted that there will need to be significant changes to the Wii system and the method of new storage will kick in from Spring 2009.

Eidos confirms Deus Ex 3 is an RPG
The community manager at Eidos has indeed confirmed that Deus Ex 3 is an RPG. Essentially it is a hybrid action / RPG game just like the first one. Moreover he added that it is a game with a very detailed plot and takes a consequence driven multi-path, multi-solution approach in a non linear sequence.

Games TM reports that we can expect a demo of Resident Evil 5 to hit early next year. They say the details are 'sketchy' but perhaps we will know more from the Tokyo Games Show.

I got a Home invite :)
Got an email last night with a invite to join playstation home beta testing, its pretty good, met a guy who lives near me, had him a game of checkers at 3am! (I won!) Set up a game of warhawk in Home got people to join me then when I left warhawk instead of going back to the xmb it went to where I was standing in Home! I have no idea how it works but its really good all the warhawk options can be set in home then the game starts its really good, I hope they let you boot up into home that would make the ps3 so much fun! Infact I'll go post that on the boards for the beta testers, if anyone else has Home add me my psn is ajrobson

Is bebo.com for racism??
I have not used Bebo in a while but yesterday I logged on and had a message from
Toby.
"You recently reported abuse for member Toby.
Then there was instructions on blocking someone.
Ignore them and they will go away?? It was not the fact that Toby got to me, (in his message he said I was a Pakistani lover but used racist words and also insulted many different races and cultures) The message from toby did not even offened me I just don't think this should go unreported.
As you can imagine I was quite annoyed with the reply so sent another message back
"Yesterday I reported a user who sent racist, abusive and ofensive message to me, I have just recived this reply from Bebo:

So the best advice you can offer is to ignore it? it is now suitable that someone can be extremly racist and get away with it, the user's account is still active so he could do this again and again.

Is Bebo racist? would they really go to lengths to delete my message after I said I would report them? Seems to me like who ever is in charge at Bebo is in favour of racism, until I get a reply and find out the action taken that will stay my opinion.

It’s pretty well known I love Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Hell, I gave it Game of the Year. Fans of the series can expect some more adventure/shooting action as Naughty Dog has confirmed a sequel. Christophe Balestra, VP at Naughty Dog, confirmed it in an interview.
Force Unleashed demo coming in August
Matt Shell, Marketing Manager at LucasArts, has sent out word that a demo of their upcoming game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, will be will be hitting Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network in August.
The level available in the demo will be a reworked version of the Tie Fighter Construction Facility from the retail game and the demo will feature special force power that would not have being unlocked at that point if you were playing through the full game.
Furthermore, in a nice change from the norm LucasArts have said the the demo will actually contain a unique ending instead of just ending abruptly - like most other demo’s do. This ending will also be exclusive to the demo, and not be a part of the retail release.

China now has the world's largest net-using population, say official figures.
More than 253 million people in the country are now online, according to statistics from the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).
The figure is higher than the 223 million that the US mustered in June, according to Nielsen Online.
Net penetration in the US stands at 71% compared to 19% in China suggesting it will eventually vastly outstrip the US.
The development is significant because the US has had the largest net-using population since records of how many people were online started to be kept.
"This is the first time the number has drastically surpassed the United States, becoming the world's number one," said a statement from the CNNIC, the nation's official net monitoring body.
The 2008 figure is up 56% in a year, said CNNIC. Analysts expect the total to grow by about 18% per annum and hit 490 million by 2012.
About 95% of those going online connect via high-speed links. Take up of broadband has been boosted by deals offered by China's fixed line phone firms as they fight to win customers away from mobile operators.
China's mobile phone-using population stands at about 500 million people.

The research debunks popular wisdom as well as previous studies in which parents and children reported that frightening dreams were triggered by TV programs.
"We found no correlation between the amount of TV watching and computer game playing and nightmare frequency," says Michael Schredl, head of research for the Sleep Laboratory at Germany's Central Institute of Mental Health."

I lost my wisdom (tooth)
So I went to the dentsit and she looked in mouth and said "it's growing completly sideways, its not that big we can take it out now if you want?" Being the manly man I am I said "oooo how long's it going to take I have to be somewhere soon" (A bare faced lie, my dat consisted of going to the dentist and watch tv) "About 5 minutes " she replied; "SHIT!" I thought I can't say I don't have time now. She gave me 4 injections one of them hurt me and I pulled her hand away from my mouth, after the 4th injection she said go wait in the waiting room for a couple of minutes.
The second I got in the room i was ringing everyone I knew I was scared it was going to hurt a lot! To make things even more scary some sikh woman walked in with a beard! that was making me feel scared, disgusted and cringe-worthy all at the same time, she was a clearner and has she bent down to pick the bag out of the bin what did i see? A SWORD!!
"Michael" The recpetionist called me and in i went, i told the dentist I was scared because everyone I spoke to had said wisdom teeth removal hurts, she explained to me that only the bottom ones really hurt because there big and you normally need to go to the hospital to have them removed.
She explained she would be making some room in my mouth to be able to get to the tooth, I was having nodding that I agreed then joked I better not nod when you start drilling, the dental nurse laughed I thought "Thats no joke!"
The dentist put something in my mouth and started twisting "oh god " I said ( well actually it sounded more like "arr gaaard" because of the thing in my mouth) as I heard a tooth crumble and crack, "don't worry if you hear a cracking noise" she could have said that before making the cracking noise!
I started bleeding a lot and i heard her say "ooops! " she put some tissue in my mouth and said bite down hard as you can, each time she put it in I started to gag and she tried with another piece, at one point i pulled it out of my mouth to see my hand covered in blood and a peiece of tooth on my finger.
She told me I had a strong (weak?) gagging reflex so i had to calm down eventually she got in in my mouth and said "ok come back in a few weeks for a filling" "Have you taken the tooth out?" I asked, apperently all the cracking was her pulling the tooth out! no drilling! It didn't even hurt at all!! The worst part was me gagging.
The nurse showed me the tooth, I asked if I could keep it, she probably thought I was slow because she put it in a tooth fairly bag! And that was it! the dentsit said keep biting the tissue for ten minutes but in my case as long as i can stand it in my mouth, she explained the socket was bleeding so don't spit or drink for four hours.
I was really happy it didn't hurt at all and only took five minutes! I kept the tissue in my mouth well I got the bus to town (probably looked like I had been in a fight..and lost) when I took it out it was caked in blood but I felt fine and I didn't even have a numb mouth so it didn't feel weird.
So if anyone is reading this who is about to have a wisdom tooth out then don't worry because it doesn't hurt at all, and you get a cool tooth fairy bag! A blog about me! AKA Youtube I hate you
Thought I would let you all know a bit about me. For the past couple of weeks my tooth has been hurting, its not just any tooth though..its a wisdom tooth!
A few years ago I was having my regular dental check when the dentist said I had a wisdom tooth coming through but it was nothing to worry about and they would only do something about it if it caused me pain. Cut to 2 or 3 years later and the little bugger has practicaly declared war on my mouth. I didn't ring the dentist when the pain started because over the course of those 2 or 3 years it has periodcially hurt for a few days then stopped....not this time...this time the tooth wants to explore! So last week I rung the dentist and the receptionist said "aww is it giving you some trouble?" TROUBLE!! I would love it to give TROUBLE! this is no normal wisdom tooth I think it may be a new being.
Tommorow at 12 I go to the dentist I am worried about what she may say, everyone I have spoken to about wisdom teeth has said "ooo they don't half hurt when they take them out" why tell me that!?! I'm already dreading going because the dentist woman is new, last time I went it was her first week she told me so we got to know each other, had a nice chat, then she started my 6 monthly checkup, "Lower K5", "1,2,3", "3,2,1" and other dental bollocks tumbled from her mouth "got a 8 a 9 a 11...shit" Shit?? Shit? surely thats not proper dental talk? Sudenly I could taste blood, turns out she had cut my cheek while speaking in tounges. So I already think shes crap at her job and now I have "the worst thing you can have done at a dentist"
At the moment I am sat in the kitchen watching True lies on itv1..good film! (Jonathans ross job is save with that review!) While watching it i thought I would post a blog, but before i did I looked at youtube and found this video
Not the nicest thing to see is it? At present I don't even know if they will take it out, but it is hurting and its really far back in my mouth I have no idea how they would get to it with a drill :(

I have had a couple of fillings and one tooth that grew weird had to be taken out, I have been fine with all of that but the thought of a wisdom tooth (something everyone I speak to says is bad, horrible, not nice) having to be taken out brings fear to my heart, the only thing keeping me sane is the thought I hang on to when I go to bed ...."Please if it must come out can I be put asleep?"
I'm going to bed now for tommorow I look fear in the eyes!
A few years ago I was having my regular dental check when the dentist said I had a wisdom tooth coming through but it was nothing to worry about and they would only do something about it if it caused me pain. Cut to 2 or 3 years later and the little bugger has practicaly declared war on my mouth. I didn't ring the dentist when the pain started because over the course of those 2 or 3 years it has periodcially hurt for a few days then stopped....not this time...this time the tooth wants to explore! So last week I rung the dentist and the receptionist said "aww is it giving you some trouble?" TROUBLE!! I would love it to give TROUBLE! this is no normal wisdom tooth I think it may be a new being.
Tommorow at 12 I go to the dentist I am worried about what she may say, everyone I have spoken to about wisdom teeth has said "ooo they don't half hurt when they take them out" why tell me that!?! I'm already dreading going because the dentist woman is new, last time I went it was her first week she told me so we got to know each other, had a nice chat, then she started my 6 monthly checkup, "Lower K5", "1,2,3", "3,2,1" and other dental bollocks tumbled from her mouth "got a 8 a 9 a 11...shit" Shit?? Shit? surely thats not proper dental talk? Sudenly I could taste blood, turns out she had cut my cheek while speaking in tounges. So I already think shes crap at her job and now I have "the worst thing you can have done at a dentist"
At the moment I am sat in the kitchen watching True lies on itv1..good film! (Jonathans ross job is save with that review!) While watching it i thought I would post a blog, but before i did I looked at youtube and found this video
Not the nicest thing to see is it? At present I don't even know if they will take it out, but it is hurting and its really far back in my mouth I have no idea how they would get to it with a drill :(

In game XMB not working in all games?
Apperntly a number of games do not work with in-game xmb on the ps3
"I put enchanted arms to play for awhile. It seems In-game xmb doesn't support enchanted arms.
I check my other games. Hmmm..lost planet does not seem to support it either.
What gives? Hopefully we will get a patch in the near future.

Netflix comes to xbox360
The 10.3 million owners of Microsoft's Xbox 360 video game player will be able to use it to stream thousands of movies from Netflix, the video "rentailer," the two companies announced in Los Angeles on Monday. Beginning this fall, Netflix subscribers will be able to stream 10,000 movies and television shows onto their TV sets using the Xbox 360 device. Currently Netflix's online streaming service works only with PCs, unless subscribers buy a $100 converter box. The announcement came just one day after Microsoft announced that it was cutting the price of its 20Gb game player to $300.
Do you plan on using this? Or will you just download films to your pc and stream them? A video rental service is on the ps3 now (only in america unless you watch the video below) do you think these will be a success? I have always wanted to try buying a film on the 360 marketplace but just before I press ok I think "mmm do i really want to waste points on this?"

Scrubs creator "I gotta no respect!"
The creator/executive producer of Scrubs is clearly miffed at NBC for the way the network decided to cancel the series. Speaking at the Television Critics Association's press tour in Beverly Hills Wednesday, Bill Lawrence said, "If you are [doing] a show on a network for six or seven years, and you make someone millions and millions of dollars, you should be able to end the show [the way you want to end the show]." As reported by Broadcasting & Cable, Lawrence said that he told the network that although he expected to be allowed to wrap up the show in eight episodes, he could do so in three. "And there wasn't a lot of interest on their part." Lawrence indicated that while he is not certain whether the show will continue beyond next season on ABC, which picked it up, he plans to film the season finale with the understanding that star Zach Braff will be leaving and "making a big deal about it."
The Dark Night reviews are in..it' excellent by the way!
With the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight opening in thousands of theaters at midnight tonight or at 6:00 a.m. on Friday (Us Brits have a time to wait..but if you look hard enugh you can watch it alread ;) ), newspapers throughout the country have made room for early reviews. Almost without exception they are raves. Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times gives it a rare -- for him -- four stars, writing, that it "is a haunted film that leaps beyond its origins and becomes an engrossing tragedy. It creates characters we come to care about. That's because of the performances, because of the direction, because of the writing, and because of the superlative technical quality of the entire production." Kenneth Turan in the Los Angeles Times observes that director Christopher Nolan does not make a big to-do over the film's formidable special effects and action sequences. "This is powerful, propulsive filmmaking in which elements that must have taken an eternity to set up stay on screen no longer than they absolutely need to," he remarks. Claudia Puig in USA Today piles on the superlatives. "The Dark Knight is a more thrilling, intelligent, morally complex and masterfully crafted film than any summer blockbuster in recent years. It's probably the best superhero movie to date," she says. Every critic marvels at the performance of the late Heath Ledger in the role of The Joker. "Ledger is so horrifically riveting you can't take your eyes off of him," comments Joe Neumaier in the New York Daily News. Even the Washington Post's Stephen Hunter, who is one of the few critics who has found faults with the film, writes that Ledger's performance is memorable. "It's a subtle, nuanced piece of acting so powerful it banishes all memories of the handsome Aussie behind it," he writes. - Want to learn magic 101 with the joker? He makes a pencil disappear by standing it straight up on a table then gleefully jamming a thugs eye into it. "TADA!"
So there you have it, honestly its a great film, everyone go see it, go see it twice! go see it at IMAX, go shout it from the rooftops. The Dark Knight has returned.

The conduit is a wii game that aims to be the best looking wii game so far! The devlopers have done a lot of work to do certain effects that so far are only on 360 and ps3, I have seen a few videos and this game is shaping up to be something really good! Metal Gear Solid technical adviser charged with exporting firearms parts
According to the AP, Army captain Tomoaki Iishiba has been charged in a federal court with "conspiring to ship holographic, night-vision-compatible firearm sights to Japan." The report states that the army captain has "worked as an I Corps intelligence liaison to Japan’s Northeastern Army, has written a manual for the M4 rifle, has endorsed a line of knives and is credited as a technical adviser in the making of the video game Metal Gear Solid."

Who remembers Dead Rising for the 360? The 2006 Zombie game set in a shopping mall thats in no way related to Dawn of the dead? Well it's heading to the Nintendo wii!!
According to a translation of Famitsu (Only Japan's Gaming Bible don't ya know) Dead Rising is coming to the wii, the game will be called 'Dead Rising: Zombie Sacrifice' in Japan and will have new features and expanded gameplay. They hope these features, along with making the game easier to play, will make it appeal more to the casual gamer. The Wii version of the game will also feature a "behind-the-shoulder camera system modeled after Resident Evil 4's" and motion controls.
The story of Dead Rising centers on Frank West, a photojournalist who ends up trapped in a shopping mall , in the town of Willamette, Colorado, that is infested with zombies . Frank must defend himself from zombie attacks, rescue survivors and avoid crazedpsychopaths, while still attempting to uncover the truth behind the incident. The player controls Frank as he explores the mall, using nearly any available object as a weapon. The player can complete several main and optional missions to earn experience points and gain special abilities. The game features several endings, depending on the decisions the player makes along the way.
Has we all know the Wii cannot support the same level of graphics capabilities, such as the large number of zombies rendered at any time, but Capcom is attempting to retain as much of the Xbox 360 features as possible. However, Minoru Nakai, the game's producer, stated that changes will be made to the Wii version to make it more accessible to casual gamers. The player can no longer take photos due to the implementation of the new camera system for example ( a feature I'm sure not many of you will miss!)
The 360 version sold over 1.5 million copies "My brother is a casual gamer, but he's the sort of person who doesn't like it when the visuals are too intricate or elaborate -- he gets nervous about whether he's good enough to play it at all," he noted. "That was a very novel surprise to hear that from him. Looking at it that way, I wonder if Wii users are a lot more forgiving about the visuals of the games they play. Of course, we have lots of fans of the 360 version, so we're still aiming for a level of visuals that will keep them satisfied." said Minoru Nakai.

Welcome to my space (get it??)
Hello all! Over the coming weeks, months, (the dream) years I will be posting on this blog as often has I can. My aim (and please take this seriously I have this planned out using pens and everything) is to bring who ever happens to stumble over this blog all the latest info on games, movies, music and my life in general. I aim to bring you all this and more in a fun and entertaining way.
Has this is my first blog I will start by telling you a little about myself, I am a male (there the one's with the dangly bits) aged 23, from England (there the one's that use to rule everyone) I go to university in Manchester and take Computing and I like putting "funny" asides in my writing ( no shit Sherlock!)
The reason I have made this blog is because I am actually quite bored at the moment, I have seen many blogs on this site (I usually look at them to see the newest eps of lost and smallville!) and like always I love to jump on the bandwagon... 4 or 5 years after everyone else has!
