The Conduit for Wii already has motion plus support and Wii Speak

MTV reports that the promising upcoming game for the Wii called The Conduit already has Wii MotionPlus support as well as Wii Speak support. High Voltage COO Eric Nofsinger noted that "We’re hooking it [MotionPlus] up. We want to support it. Probably for this version of the game there’s not going to be a whole ton of really extensive use of the Wii MotionPlus."

High Voltage Software has received heaps of attention for “The Conduit,” a hardcore-focused shooter designed from the ground up for Wii.

The studio is intent on making full use of the Wii’s capabilities, High Voltage COO Eric Nofsinger told me at Nintendo’s fall summit in San Francisco yesterday.

“The Conduit” will support both the Wii MotionPlus accessory — they just received development kits — and the “Animal Crossing”-linked WiiSpeak.

“We’re hooking it [MotionPlus] up,” said Nofsinger. “We want to support it. Probably for this version of the game there’s not going to be a whole ton of really extensive use of the Wii MotionPlus. For the sequel to the game, we definitely do want to incorporate more melee and things like that. We want to support it.”

Iwata explains Wii's storage solution

Exactly what Nintendo's Satoru Iwata said at the recent Nintendo press conference regarding the Wii storage solution has been translated and transcribed. Among other details, he noted that there will need to be significant changes to the Wii system and the method of new storage will kick in from Spring 2009.

Quote:
"We will make it so that, when there is not enough room on the Wii's internal memory, you will be able to purchase and download Virtual Console and WiiWare software directly from the Shopping Channel to an SD memory card. We will also make it so that you will need to go through just one process in order to transfer Virtual Console or WiiWare software stored on an SD card to the Wii console and then be able to play it. We would like to deal with this issue utilizing two methods. Since the updates to realize these new structures will require significant revisions to the Wii system, and these changes need to be made by taking care of a variety of different angles, this method will become effective beginning next spring. For some of you, this may be considered late. But please know that we really appreciate your cooperation and understanding. We are working hard so we can begin the service as soon as possible."
